Free at Disney Springs

Published: October 09 2015

The new Disney Springs, former Downtown Disney, has so many options of amazing restaurants and entertainment that you can make several trips and still not be able to experience it all! You can dine, watch a movie, shop around or even take a balloon ride! But if you just want to stroll around, take some pictures and window shop, here are a few things that are FREE and fun:

Pool area of The Lego Imagination Center near Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa

Play with Legos:

If you want guaranteed fun for the kids, just cut them loose at the Lego store for a few hours! The Lego Imagination Center is located in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs! If you’re not familiar with Disney springs you can Read this Stay Coral Cay Blog to learn a bit more about it! The whole store is amazing and they have incredible Lego creations and even special edition toys for sale. But the best part is that there’s a whole play area outside for the kids where they get to build their own toys and exercise their imagination!

Watch candy apples being made:

This is not as fun as candy eating, but it sure is mesmerizing! The Candy Cauldron has a clear window where bystanders can just stop by to watch the most creative, Disney-themed candy apples being freshly made! If you want an apple, that will cost you from $6-$12, but just watching them being made is a whole great experience already!

Get some samples:

You can get some free chocolate samples when you go in the Ghiradelli’s Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop (also located in the Marketplace), and they are obviously delicious!

Try soap and lotion samples from Basin! This whole store smells delicious and has high-quality products that are truly spa worthy! Spend a few minutes in the store trying their products!

Bonus: Parking at Disney Springs is FREE. Just as a comparison, Universal’s City Walk parking rate at $20 (unless you’re a Florida resident) is pretty pricey if you just want to kill a few hours with the family without spending a bunch!
