The holidays in Orlando, FL are upon us which means we are excitedly waiting as to what amazing events are in store at Walt Disney World® Theme Parks. We are still in the middle of the global pandemic, so you can rest assured that health & safety guidelines are of the highest importance. Also, now that some of our favorite holiday events like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Celebration and the Candlelight Processional, have been canceled, we’re more than eager to know what the world-famous resort will be doing to accommodate such times.

Well, the wait is officially over, because starting November 6 and lasting through December 30, 2020, Walt Disney World® Resort will be celebrating the holidays with an exciting assortment of holiday experiences, beautiful décor, delicious holiday-themed food, merchandise and more for you to enjoy!

What Holiday Fun is at Walt Disney World® Resort?

If you’re not able to visit all of the theme parks during your stay, don’t worry. You’ll be able to experience the holiday magic—and perhaps get a surprise visit from Santa Claus himself– at all four theme parks as well as Disney Springs®.

Here are some of the specific ways each park is celebrating the holidays:

Magic Kingdom® Park

Character cavalcades throughout the day featuring your favorite characters in their holiday finest accompanied by elves, reindeer, gingerbread men and toy soldiers. When the sun sets, you must head toward Cinderella Castle! Their holiday projection effects with the brilliant lights and vibrant colors will truly take your breath away.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park

Enjoy a pleasant surprise of festive flotillas as famous characters, and Santa himself, cruise along the the Discovery River. If you’re afraid you’ll miss the flotillas, don’t worry, you’re sure to hear the festive music they play before you see them!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios®

Feel the holiday spirit when you watch the Santa Claus Motorcade at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®! Catch a glimpse of Santa Claus himself as he rides through Hollywood Boulevard in his red convertible packed with presents.

EPCOT®

EPCOT continues doing what it does best and will celebrate the holiday with its very own event, the Taste of EPCOT® International Festival of the Holidays, running from November 27 – December 31, 2020. While you visit the park, you’ll be greeted with this park’s holiday promenades, which of course will feature your favorite characters and jolly ol’ St. Nick!

Disney Springs®

Elaborately decorated Christmas trees, magical snowfalls in specific areas at The Landing, West Side and Town Center, and Jock Lindsey will be transforming into Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar with a delicious limited-time holiday menu.

Don’t forget to try all of the delicious holiday treats available for purchase at each of the theme parks. You’ll find a lot of themed sweet treats that are sure to bring joy to your day! When you’re ready to go home, choose from the many holiday-themed merchandise as an amazing souvenir.
