Take a Theme Park Break

Visiting Orlando means endless fun at Disney World and all the other theme parks that make this city one of the most visited in the United States. However, if you have ever taken a Disney vacation you know how tiring the long days at the park can be if you don’t schedule in some down time to rest and recharge.

We suggest planning your trip with enough “off” days to ensure you don’t fall into complete theme park exhaustion. The 2 theme park/1 day off is a good rule of thumb, especially if you are traveling with infants and toddlers. On your day off can shop, visit single attractions, visit Disney Springs, Universal City Walk or just spend a relaxing and fun day at your resort. If you are staying with us at the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa we would like to point out a few of the things you should look forward to experiencing on your day off at our resort.

1-Take the Plunge: you cannot visit our resort and not go down our famous slide in the Pirate’s Plunge Pool!

2-Take a picture on our Celebration Board! We are always celebrating a special occasion when on vacation. Perhaps a belated birthday, early anniversary or even your first time at Disney World. Grab your favorite color chalk and share what you are celebrating with us. Then snap a picture and share it on your favorite social media channel to mark it as a day to remember!

3-Have a poolside breakfast at Lani’s Luau to start your day off in a typical Florida style.

4-Have the kids attend a staySky Kids Club event while you relax nearby on one of our pool loungers. Events include crafts, scavenger hunts, pool activities and more!

5-Enjoy a drink poolside, because nothing says “vacation” better than a tropical drink by the pool.

6-Take a few hours to pamper yourself in our full-service, luxurious Reflections Spa. Whether you prefer a massage, facial,  or a mani/pedi, we’ve got it all!

7-Have the kids play a few arcade games inside of our Frankie Farrell’s Irish Pub & Grille  while you enjoy a drink.

8-And while you’re at it, don’t forget to order a platE of Fish & Chips, our delicious Shepherd’s Pie or any other delicious dish. Here’s a warning: the portions are HUGE, so come hungry!

9-Pet a baby alligator! We have a volunteer from an animal rescue visit our resort every Wednesday and Friday (depending on weather) at 10 a.m. He gives a funny and informative speech while holding the baby alligator and the kids are able to ask questions and pet the alligator when he’s done with his speech. It is all free to listen and watch the ‘show.’ You can take pictures HOLDING the alligator for a $5 donation, which goes directly to the conservatory!
