What’s New in Orlando Theme Parks
1. Disney Villains Live – Hollywood Studios

Walt Disney World has revealed more details about Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, debuting at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in summer 2025. Set in the Magic Mirror’s realm, this live show will feature stunning effects, musical performances, and a dramatic villainous takeover by Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent. The production will conclude with a spectacular finale starring Disney’s most infamous foes. Held in the Sunset Showcase Theater, the show replaces Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, which closed in October 2024.
2. Pirates of the Caribbean Lounge – Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World is set to introduce a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom, scheduled to open in late 2025. This family-friendly ride lasts 4.5 minutes and features two multi-level theaters, each seating 30 guests. After the ride, visitors can explore the Wild Arctic exhibit for up-close animal encounters. 5. SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ – Universal Epic Universe
Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, opening May 22, 2025, will immerse guests in the world of Nintendo with iconic attractions like Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge and Donkey Kong Country™. Visitors will race through thrilling courses using augmented reality, explore Donkey Kong’s jungle, and experience a mine-cart roller coaster. The land will feature themed dining and exclusive merchandise, with interactive Power-Up Bands allowing guests to collect coins and participate in challenges. 6. Celestial Park – Universal Epic Universe
Celestial Park will open May 2025 and will serve as the central hub of Universal's Epic Universe, offering a serene environment filled with lush greenery, tree-lined pathways, and interactive fountains. At its core is the Chronos Portal, a gateway that transports guests to the other themed worlds within the park.
