Temperatures: The difference in temperature will really depend on what month of fall you decide to visit us in. If you visit in September it will be warmer than October and November, of course. But even September is already, on average, a few degrees cooler than summer months. Plus, we get a lot less rain during fall, as well. Because summer months are known for their afternoon showers (which can actually be pretty refreshing considering the high temperatures outside) and during fall we don’t experience passing showers as much.
Shorter lines: Kids are back in school during fall, so the lines for most Orlando attractions and theme park attractions can be significantly shorter. Fastpasses+ slots are also more available since there are not as many guests pre-booking them for this time of the year.
Seasonal events: Some of the best events of the year are held during fall. If you are a fan of Halloween, you can’t miss Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, which is a staple event in Orlando. And if you are traveling with kids, the Mickey Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is an unforgettable event where you get to see all of your favorite Disney characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes and you get to trick or treat inside of Magic Kingdom! The Epcot Food and Wine Festival is a favorite of all foodies out there and it’s also only held during fall. You get to drink around the world and experience the food culture of 40+ different countries, in oppose to the 11 regular permanent countries located at Epcot.
New attractions: Orlando is filled with new attractions and the best time to experience them is definitely during fall. Many new attractions debut right before summer or at the peak of summer, so the lines for those Orlando attractions are very, very long right after the opening date. During fall, however, you can experience these new attractions without having to forfeit all of your precious theme park time.
