Disney Springs® offers Orlando visitors more Disney magic, without having to pay for another day at the Disney World Theme Parks. Entry is completely free, and with 103 shops, 66 dining areas, and 25 attractions, there’s something for everyone in your group. This is the place to visit to find must-have Disney merchandise, trendy styles from popular brands, and world-class restaurants, paired with late-night entertainment.
History
When the shopping center first opened in 1975, it was called Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village. In 1977 it was renamed Walt Disney World Village, in 1989 it became Disney Village Marketplace, and then in 1997, it was renamed Downtown Disney. In September 2015, when the 3-year renovation was complete, the name officially changed to Disney Springs.
Disney Springs® is divided into 4 areas:
- Marketplace Co-Op
This is where you’ll find Disney’s unique brands and gifts. This is home to the LEGO® Store, the World of Disney Gift Shop, Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex Cafe, the Polite Pig, and more!
Park in the Lime Parking Lot to start your shopping journey here.
-
The Landing
Formerly known as Pleasure Island, The Landing features several nautical-themed restaurants such as The Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, The Boathouse, and Paddlefish. Ragland Road Irish Pub, Wine Bar George, The Edison, STK Steakhouse, and Morimoto Asia are also located here.
Park in the Lime Parking Lot to be closer to this area although you’ll still get your steps in.
-
West Side
The West Side is the oldest side of Disney Springs. You’ll find the AMC Dine-In theatre, Planet Hollywood, the Coca-Cola store, House of Blues, Jaleo, and Cirque du Soleil here.
Park in the Strawberry and Watermelon parking lot to start strolling here on the far west side, or park in the Orange Garage to park between the West Side and Town Center.
-
Town Center
Disney Springs Town Center is the newest shopping center containing all of the name brands you know and love such as Sephora, Coach, Zara, Harley Davidson, and more!
Parking in the Lime Garage is recommended or the Orange Garage to park between the West Side and Town Center.
